The Kybalion and many other teachings talk about duality or polarity in our world. Even the Ying/Yang from China reflects this knowledge.
Everything in existence has an opposite. Absolutely everything. And both aspects are somehow connected. Like two sides of the same coin.
There are many famous pairs: love and hate, fear and hope, abundance and scarcity, happiness and sadness, light and dark. And often we want to focus on experiencing just one of them because we deem the other one not as pleasant.
Yes, some sides are more enjoyable than others. That experience is related to their vibration and how they connect with our own vibration. Higher vibrational experiences rise us up, help us feel elevated energetically and therefore we tend to seek them. But both sides complement each other. Staying all the time on one side of the polarity, though possible, would provide a reduced experience of what being human is about.
When we are on the low vibrational side of a polarity we learn the most. Difficult experiences or emotions are some of the greatest teachers. They can show us resilience and issues that we can reconcile and release so we can grow as individuals. In addition being on the low end helps us value the high vibrational aspect more when we reach it, because we are familiar with how it feels not to be in that place. Living scarcity will make us value more abundance. Feeling hate will help us understand the value and how precious feeling love is. This is one of the ways in which the two sides work together to amplify the human experience.
The principle of polarity also teaches us that we can intentionally move from one side of the coin to the other one, as long as we are moving through the same experience. This means that we can move from hate to love or vice versa. They are sides of the same coin. But we can’t move from hate to happiness or from sadness to love, those are not connected. To move across the polarity you just start feeling less of whatever it is you are feeling. By reducing that sensation progressively at some point you will be closer to the other side of the polarity. This is an intentional way of using the polarity to your advantage.
